Overview

PD2041 is an outdoor, IP67 water and weather resistant, 4 way, wideband, 50 ohm, power divider, power combiner furnished with type N female jack coaxial connectors. All wireless band applications in the frequency range from 698 to 2700 MHz are covered with best in class RF performance. Max microwave input power levels up to 40 watts can be handled in both power splitter and power combiner applications. See 4 way RF power divider input rating tables for additional details.

Electrical

The heart of the unit is a precision designed and etched Wilkinson type microstrip circuit on a low loss, high frequency, dielectric substrate. The Wilkinson microstrip circuit passes DC current to all ports making it ideal for use in active systems. Power splitter dividers passing DC to select ports and blocking DC to others are also available. See options (right). Electrical performance is highlighted by 0.8 dB max insertion loss (above the 6 dB power split), 22 dB min isolation, 1.25:1 max input VSWR and 1.15:1 max output VSWR. Equal power split and balance is displayed by 0.3 dB max amplitude balance and 4 degrees max phase balance. Narrow band RF performance over your frequency range may be even better. Mechanical

Mechanical features include precision CNC, brass, 50 ohm N type female coaxial connectors with tri alloy plating to insure tarnish resistance and low PIM operation. Connector pins are gold plated phosphor bronze for reliability and low contact resistance. Virgin electrical grade PTFE support insulators captivate the contact pins enabling trouble free coaxial connector mating. Long term operation and superior shielding is assured by the rugged CNC machined aluminum housing with clear passivated finish. Provision for

secure mounting is provided by two .125" diameter (3.18 mm) through holes. RoHS construction includes no-lead solder and finish free of hexavalent chromium. Water and weather resistance for uninterrupted safe outdoor use is achieved through silicone o-rings sealing all components.

Physical

Exterior housing dimensions are 4.48" wide by 3.28" deep by 1.00" high (113.8 x 83.3 x 25.4 mm). The N type connectors extend 0.65" (16.5 mm) from the housing. Operating temperature range is from -65°C to +85°C. Weight is 641 grams. Rated for continuous water and weather resistant exterior use. May also be used indoors. DC Blocking: Two DC blocking versions of this IP67 outdoor 4way divider combiner:

PD5041: DC pass 1 port, DC block 3 ports. Typically used for powering an active antenna through the DC pass port of the outdoor RF power divider splitter.

PD5043: DC block 4 ports. Typically used in combining applications to prevent passing DC current to sum or other ports.

GPS Splitter: 4-way GPS antenna signal splitter covering L1, L2, GLONASS and Galileo GNSS global navigation satellite system positioning frequency bands.

GPS401: Four way GPS signal splitter, DC pass one port - providing a means to power an active GPS antenna - other ports DC blocked and furnished with 200 ohm internal loads to simulate antenna preamp current draw, preventing the GPS receiver from sensing antenna fault.
