INSTOCK Wireless GPS Signal Splitters are available in 2-way thru 48-way configurations spanning 1-2 GHz with unpeered performance in GPS (L1-L5), GNSS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou / COMPASS, and IRNSS antenna splitting applications. The 200 ohm internal load on the DC-blocked port(s) prevents receivers from incorrectly sensing an antenna fault when there is no current draw while maintaining a perfect 50 ohm RF impedance match. Not sure which GPS splitter you need?

If you need to share an active antenna between multiple receivers, you will need a GPS splitter with one port passing DC current to power the antenna. This will cover 95% of applications. In some rare cases, such as when working with GPS simulators, you may need a GPS splitter that blocks DC current at all ports.

In most applications, the GPS receiver connected to the antenna provides DC current to power the antenna. When connecting multiple GPS receivers to a common antenna, one of the GPS receivers stills needs to provide DC current to power the antenna, but the DC current from the remaining GPS receivers is blocked. In very few applications, such as a testing environment where you are using a GPS simulator, you will not need to power an active antenna and will instead need to block the DC current coming from your receivers.
